What is Digital Age Project?
A five-month program for teams to work on project ideas developed in the "Digital Age Ideation" stage. Your team will be matched with a mentor from a related industrial sector to better define the scope of your proposed project. You will then begin work on your project, developing useful social and technical skills specific to your projects and adaptive to your needs. Your mentor will guide you as you watch recorded videos and perform complementary activities to develop necessary skills on a weekly basis. You will move your project forward by applying the acquired skills, knowledge, and tools in a collaborative environment. At the end of this stage, all teams will present their completed projects in a final presentation day. Those who are interested in transforming their projects into startup ideas will enter the next stage, "Digital Age Incubator". Each team that successfully completes a project will receive a Certificate of Project Completion.
What will you learn at the Digital Age Project?
In addition to completing your project, you will learn a variety of soft and technical skills. On the soft side, you will learn how to:
- initiate a project with an idea you have generated yourself;
- work collaboratively on a project with others;
- create and grow a professional network for future collaboration;
- manage your time;
- work independently;
- take responsibility of your tasks;
- lead a team;
- communicate your results through verbal and written presentations;
- and many more depending on your project and team!
On the technical skills, you will learn several different skills depending on your project, but you will commonly learn to:
- tackle different problems using problem solving skills;
- research for information in the related market;
- obtain and analyze data;
- write computer algorithms;
- use statistics and probability in your analyses;
- use different collaborative tools such as Google docs, spreadsheets, and slides.
Developing skills and learning how to transfer them into solving modern world problems through a personalized program and under professional instructions will prepare you for the future of work in the tech age.
When and how long is the Digital Age Project?
This is the second stage of the Digital Age Academy and lasts for five months, starting in November 2021 and ending in March 2022.
How can I get into the Digital Age Project?
When you successfully complete the first stage of the program, i.e. the "Digital Age Ideation", you can enter the "Digital Age Project" with your project idea and team.
What comes after the Digital Age Project?
Upon completing this stage, you will receive a Certificate of Project Completion. The next stage after the "Digital Age Project" is called "Digital Age Incubator". At the end of the project stage, after presenting your project, you will have the option to enter the Incubator stage, if you are interested in transforming your idea into a startup.
